Reverse Osmosis Desalination

Reverse Osmosis (RO) desalination is a separation process used to reduce dissolved salt content of saline water to a desired level. This is achieved by passing the saline water through a semi-permeable membrane at a pressure level higher than osmotic pressure. It works by using a high-pressure pump to increase the pressure on the salt side of the RO and force the water across the semi-permeable RO membrane, leaving almost all off dissolved salts behind in the reject stream.

Setting a standard: New membrane technologies

Advanced Watertek has pioneered many of the most cutting edge RO technology advances including thin-film composite membranes, ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems and advanced micro-filtration, setting the benchmark for RO design. New membrane technologies such as nanofiltration and ultrafiltration for the production of drinking and industrial water are incorporated into our systems.

All systems are the result of advanced manufacturing and engineering standards and meticulous attention to detail. Advanced Watertek’s commitment to excellence means we comply with industry regulations and aspire to provide innovative products that add value to our clients and set industry standards.

RO across Australia, Asia, Middle East & Africa

Over the past 34 years, we have designed, engineered and built RO systems that endure the most demanding conditions, from Australia, South East Asia to the Middle East and across Africa. Our systems have been tried, tested and proven reliable in most applications and locations, providing high performance, minimal maintenance and low operation costs.
