Advanced Watertek

A trek down memory lane…on the road to a greener future!

Updated: Apr 27, 2022

Did you know a Company that’s now on the top tier… actually started Down Under?

Advanced Watertek is headquartered in Perth, Australia. In 1984, we commenced operations in the Middle East with our office in Dubai, UAE. Little did we know it would mark a watershed in our corporate journey. As we look back 38 years later, it is with satisfaction and humility, because the trust reposed by thousands of customers in more than 50 countries has made us a preferred partner in the field of water treatment.

The fulcrum of our operations is Reliability and Sustainability. Our Water Treatment Systems transform water from a saline or brackish state and make it either potable or fit for industrial, commercial or agricultural use. We strive to build machines that our customers can rely on to provide consistent water quality and quantity. The treatment process is with minimum energy consumption and maximum care for the environment.

Let’s take desalination as a case in point. Ocean-going vessels can never carry required amount of drinking water especially for an extended voyage. Our on-board RO Water Maker makes water saltless, softer and fit for onboard consumption or sanitary use.

Let’s step on to land. A brackish water body may hold a large volume of water, but salt or other contaminants makes it unsuitable for irrigation or for other uses. Using Reverse Osmosis and Filtration methods, the dissolved contaminants are removed and converted to fresh water.

Time to visit an On-shore drilling rig or a mine. Many of these are located in remote areas, and our Water Treatment solutions ensure the available ground water is treated, used, re-used and recycled so as to conserve the limited amount of water available on site.

Now, let’s review conventional situations where water treatment and recycling are a must. You will find our water treatment solutions widely used in the F&B industry, in Hospitality, in Cooling Towers, Pharmaceutical and Medical verticals, and in large residential complexes. Our solutions are also used by municipalities and townships to treat Sewage Water, and recycle the treated water for gardening or other uses.

Now that we have taken you through various applications, it makes sense to introduce our Product Range:

If you are reading this in the UAE, you will be happy to know that our largest office is in Dubai and it is from here that we serve the entire Middle East region.

All our water treatment systems are engineered and manufactured to standards conforming to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. We use high-quality components from Europe and the US. Materials with approvals such as ASME and AWS certification are sourced from leading manufacturers based on customer requirement.

We meet stringent quality and HSE standards in all our operations. Our employees undergo extensive training and orientation relevant to their roles in order to effectively deliver top quality products and services. We ensure that personnel who are deployed for installation of equipment in offshore vessels have undergone Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET).

The focus in our early years was to grow and sustain the business. A different kind of Sustainability has overtaken our goals, placed as we are in the epicentre of an activity that can help save the world’s most precious resource – water.

The forecast by United Nations of a 40 per cent shortfall in freshwater resources by 2030 combined with steady rise in world population indicates that we are heading for a global water crisis. How we manage water, and how eco-friendly our treatment systems can be, will determine the availability of water and quality of air for future generations.

Fortunately, we serve the best of customers who rate water management as a top priority. With their support, we will continue to nurture a circular economy and a greener future – by tapping the power of treated water and wastewater.
